Statement of unwavering support for Ukraine

     The Office of Liu Jianyong
     February 24, 2025
On the third anniversary of the Russo-Ukrainian war, we reiterate our unwavering support for Ukraine.
Russia's aggression against Ukraine is unjust, and its nature is self-evident. The Russo-Ukrainian war concerns international law, the international system of rules, and the values of justice. If Ukraine loses the war, the world will be turned upside down and become a jungle where the strong prey on the weak. The fate of Ukraine will ultimately be decided by the Ukrainian people, and the fate of Europeans should also be decided by Europeans independently. Our support for Ukraine is based on a simple sense of justice - it's unconditional and unrequited. Any act of aiding and abetting, breaking faith or coercing other countries to succumb to unfair transactions is shameful and unacceptable.
We appreciate the firm support of the United Kingdom, the Baltic countries and other countries that uphold justice for Ukraine, and once again urge European countries to increase the proportion of military spending as soon as possible and increase military and economic assistance to Ukraine.
We call on the Ukrainian people not to succumb to external pressure, not to give up, not to sign any armistice agreement at the expense of their own territory, sovereignty and dignity, and to persist in fighting to the final victory.
No matter how the world changes, our determination and resolve will not change. Our support for Ukraine's fight against aggression is as solid as a rock, and our belief that justice will prevail is unwavering.
