Statement condemning the Afghan Taliban authorities' introduction of the "Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Law" |
The Office of Liu Jianyong |
September 10, 2024 |
The "Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Law" recently issued by the Taliban authorities seriously violates the human rights of Afghan women. This so-called law is illegal and invalid. We condemn the Taliban authorities' retrogressive behavior! |
The Taliban authorities established an illegal regime through violence and imprisoned the Afghan people with extreme religious rule, seriously violating the rights of the Afghan people, especially the women. |
We hereby call on the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan, EU countries and other countries not to recognize the legitimacy of the Taliban authorities and to impose sanctions on the Taliban authorities. |
